From acclaimed director Mika Kaurismaki comes full-length feature The Liar and short film Jackpot 2. The Liar (1981): Ville Alfa (Aki Kaurism'ki) an overly intellectualising hyper-manic young drifter cannot stop telling lies. His fabrications allow him to seduce girls and borrow seemingly endless amounts of money from friends family and complete strangers. But lying about the death of his brother lands him in hot water. Can he curb his compulsion for pathological lying? Jackpot 2 (1982): A short film where three young people two boys and a girl meet on a Friday evening in an urban post-disaster setting which has brought Helsinki to ruins. The boys' sole purpose of life is to play a Flip-Flop pinball machine.
